About Suresh

Suresh is the Chief Executive Officer of SMIMPL. In his capacity as CEO, he is responsible for strategy, assessment and analysis of investment opportunities and management of assets owned by the Fund. Suresh has been involved in all of the investments that the Fund has made. He is actively involved in the management of these investments and represents the Fund on the Boards of Viom Networks and MB Power.

Prior to joining Macquarie, Suresh has had 15 years of diverse experience in Project Finance, Investment Banking and Investing in the infrastructure sector in India.

Professional Qualifications
  • MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India
  • Bachelor of Engineering from SGS Institute of Technology & Science, Indore, India.

Rohini Upasani

Rohini Upasani
About Rohini

Rohini Upasani is currently a General Manager in State Bank of India and is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SMIMPL. She works alongside Suresh on strategy, investment and asset management matters. Rohini represents the Fund on the board of Adhunik Power, Soham Energy, Ashoka Concessions and GMR Jadcherla Expressways Limited.

Prior to joining the Fund team, Rohini’s 33-year career with SBI included operational assignments in the Corporate Accounts Group (CAG), Retail business in Hyderabad and Mumbai, and SBI Credit Cards in Gurgaon and as SVP Credit in Frankfurt. In her last assignment, she was General Manager of the Retail Network at the local head office in Mumbai.
